Grandma’s chair
A dog died last week
A very special dog indeed
It nearly brought me to my knees
I wanted to be weak, so I started to cave in
But the words in my head kept playing
I saw my grandma there,
Sitting in her rocking chair
Just waiting for me to come home
Home, home again
It’s been two weeks and my bed is boring
Doctor says I should do something interesting
I would rather not be alone now
Gotta see my friends
Get going to the shore now
I might not see them again
I would rather not be alone now
Alone, alone again
A dog died last week
A very special dog indeed
It nearly brought me to my knees
I wanted to be weak so I started to cave in
But the words in my head kept playing
I saw my grandma there,
Sitting in her rocking chair
Just waiting for me to come home
Home, home again
